Argentina's Lamia emerged from a band called Nyx that comprised Juan Andrés ...
Maximiliano Schneider and Lucio Moschella, and which performed from early 1994 to late 2000 in the underground scene of Buenos Aires. At the begining of 2001, the band was rechristened Lamia and Celasco began a new musical approach, merging electronics with medievalisms. In 2002, vocalist Claudia "Caly" Rolando joined the group and they were signed to Twilight Records for their debut album: Dark Angel. After Claudia Rolando's addition to the line-up, Maximiliano and Lucio left the band, while she herself left in 2005 and was replaced by Cecilia Marchesotti (soprano) and Daniel Pomba (tenor).
