/ Jazz band founded by Copenhagen born, New York-based drummer / singer Mikkel Hess and jazz pianist Nikolaj Hess. Their energetic performances have resulted in a strong cult following, especially in Europe, where Hessismore playing concerts in both traditional and non-traditional settings across the EU.
In 2003 they released the debut album, The Soundtrack, which was recorded for the setup of Wind in the Willows at the Royal Theatre. In 2005 the band was given a contract with Kenneth Bager's record label Music For Dreams, which launched Hess Is More international and re-released a revised version of the debut album, which had now been titled Tip Top Dynamo. The following year they released the album Captain Europe. In 2007 they recorded the live album Live at Wood Wood. 5 May 2008 released its fourth studio album Denial, which spawned the single "Ssshhhh", with its recognizable flute theme was chosen as P3s Uungåelige. Besides the brothers Hess, helps Matt Parker (saxophone, Roland SH 101 Synthesizer), Michael Hanf (vibraphone), Pavel Kogan (guitar), David Mason (electronic drums), Rasmus Bille Bahncke (Roland SH101 Synthesizer) and Midnight Magic bassist William Andrew Raposo on baritone guitar. Former bandmedlemer include Norwegian-Vietnamese singer Bang Chau and Jenno (aka Jens Bjørnkjær).
